The [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of Évora, also referred to as the Templo de [Diana](https://www.worldhistory.org/diana/) (albeit wrongly) is an ancient temple in the Portuguese [city](https://www.worldhistory.org/city/) of Évora. The temple is believed to have been constructed around the first century CE, in homage to [Augustus](https://www.worldhistory.org/augustus/) who was venerated as a [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) during and after his rule.
