A panoramic view of the scene decorating the celebrated [Portland Vase](https://www.worldhistory.org/article/654/the-portland-vase/). The exact significance of the scenes are not known but many scholars believe the vase to show scenes from the wedding of Peleus and [Thetis](https://www.worldhistory.org/Thetis/) from [Greek mythology](https://www.worldhistory.org/Greek_Mythology/). 1st century BCE to 1st century CE.
