The Late Roman fortifications of Diocletianopolis (modern Hisarya), Bulgaria. Built in the late 3rd and early 4th centuries CE, the walls were constructed of stone masonry with bands of brick and extended for more than 2.3 km around the ancient [city](https://www.worldhistory.org/city/).
