Von Borcke (1835-1895) was a Prussian Confederate who served under [J. E. B. Stuart](https://www.worldhistory.org/J._E._B._Stuart/) in the [American Civil War](https://www.worldhistory.org/American_Civil_War/). Best known for his *Memoirs of the Confederate [War](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/War/) for Independence* (1866).
