Nadira Banu Begum (1618-1659) was the daughter of Sultan Parviz Mirza and wife to Prince Dara Shikoh, heir apparent to the Mughal throne. She died in travel during the turbulent [war](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/War/) of succession that would see her husband executed a few months later. Her tomb, depicted here, was constructed in the late 17th century in Lahore, modern-day Pakistan.
