The partly reconstructed Capitolium on the [acropolis](https://www.worldhistory.org/Acropolis/) of Uthina (Oudhna in modern-day Tunisia) was constructed under Emperor [Hadrian](https://www.worldhistory.org/hadrian/), and dedicated to the Capitoline Triad of [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) gods ([Jupiter](https://www.worldhistory.org/jupiter/), [Juno](https://www.worldhistory.org/Juno/) and [Minerva](https://www.worldhistory.org/Minerva/)). The [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) stood in the Forum and was built on a high podium, made possible by constructing an artificial terrace at the edge of the hill. It must have had a porticoed square, a basilica and other public buildings.
