In-situ [mosaic](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mosaic/) floor in the House of Amphitrite in Bulla Regia, Tunisia, depicting [Venus](https://www.worldhistory.org/venus/) being carried ashore by a pair of Ichthyocentaurs (fish-tailed centaurs) following her birth from the sea foam. The two ichthyocentaurs are named Aphros ("Sea-Foam") and Bythos ("Sea-Depths"). Two Cupids prepare to crown her with a myrtle wreath. The goddess is draped in a loose red cloak and crowned with a shining aureole. Dated to the 3rd century CE.
