This early Christian mosaic from 5th-6th century CE was sourced from within Sufetula, an ancient town — once [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/), then [Byzantine](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Byzantine/), and later Arab — which holds artifacts and structures that span a wide breadth of Roman antiquity, from a pagan [empire](https://www.worldhistory.org/empire/) to a Christian one, and includes shops, an [amphitheatre](https://www.worldhistory.org/amphitheatre/), and a number of churches and temples.

Sbeitla Archaeological Museum.
