After a coup plot and uprising against her by powerful nobles, [Razia Sultan](https://www.worldhistory.org/Razia_Sultan/) was killed on 14 October 1240. She was buried initially in Kaithal, but her body was later moved to an undecorated tomb in Delhi. This photograph shows what the tomb looks like today.
