A circa 1910 photograph of the Russian self-styled monk and faith healer [Grigori Rasputin](https://www.worldhistory.org/Grigori_Rasputin/) (1869-1916) who gained influence over the family of [Tsar Nicholas II](https://www.worldhistory.org/Tsar_Nicholas_II/) (reign 1894-1917). Rasputin is pictured here with three of his children in his hometown of Pokrovskoe, Siberia.
