A depiction of Act 2 Scene 3 of [William Shakespeare](https://www.worldhistory.org/William_Shakespeare/)'s comedy *[Twelfth Night](https://www.worldhistory.org/Twelfth_Night/)* in which the puritanical servant Malvolio tries to quiet down Sir Toby Belch and his fellow revelers. It is in this scene that Sir Toby delivers the famous line: "Dost thou think, because thou art virtuous, there shall be nore more cakes and ale?" (2.3.114-115).
