Typhon was the most powerful of all [Greek](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/greek/) monsters. He was a winged [giant](https://www.worldhistory.org/Giants/) with the head, arms, and torso of a man, had pointed ears and a filthy beard, and his bottom half consisted of two coiled [serpents](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Serpents/). He was the source of devastating storms.
