Château de Saint-Brisson-sur-Loire, Loiret, France. A simple fortified tower in the 11th century, the château was transformed over the centuries to become the gem we can admire today. In the 16th century, the castle was transformed into a residential estate by its new owners, the Séguier family, famous for their role in the creation of the Académie Française. It is the most upstream château of the Loire on the royal river.
