Château de Cheverny, Loir-et-Cher, France. The château belongs to the Hurault de Vibraye family and has been home to the same family for over six centuries. It was made even more famous by the cartoonist Hergé who was inspired by it to make it the home of Captain Haddock in the comics series *The Adventures of Tintin*.
