Terracotta wine jar, known as *qvevri*, with a capacity of approximately 100 litres (26 gal), the earliest [Neolithic](https://www.worldhistory.org/Neolithic/) evidence for the beginnings of a wine [culture](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/culture/) in which wine dominated social and economic life has been found in the Republic of Georgia. Found at the site of Khramis Didi Gora in southeastern Georgia, dated to the first half of the 6th millennium BCE.
