## Image Caption

A [silver](https://www.worldhistory.org/Silver/) dish (*patera*) bearing the bust of [Antinous](https://www.worldhistory.org/antinous/) in its central medallion, from a 2nd-century CE [burial](https://www.worldhistory.org/burial/) (a [tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) supposed to have belonged to the high Iberian dignitary Aspaurukis) at the Armaziskhevi archaeological site in Georgia. It probably formed part of an official, diplomatic gift, as silver vessels were familiar gifts within and among the kingdoms of the East. Dated to 130-138 CE.

National Museum of Georgia, Tbilisi.
