## Image Caption

The Treatment Building centre (also known as the [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of Telesphorus) of the Asklepieion of [Pergamon](https://www.worldhistory.org/pergamon/) was a circular structure with two floors and a 70m-long underground passage connecting it to the sacred area's centre. The Treatment Building was constructed during the reign of [Hadrian](https://www.worldhistory.org/hadrian/) (r. 117-138 CE).
