[Death](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Death/) of Clodobert, the young son of King [Chilperic I](https://www.worldhistory.org/Chilperic_I/) and Queen Fredegund. Clodobert and his brother Dagobert died of dysentery in 580, depriving Chilperic of suitable heirs. Chilperic and Fredegund are depicted praying as their son lies dying.
