The Lollii were one of the important families of Castellum Tidditanorum (modern Tiddis in Algeria). Their circular mausoleum can still be seen some kilometres to the north of the site. The family [tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) was erected by Quintus Lollius Urbicus, Governor of the [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) Province of [Britannia](https://www.worldhistory.org/Roman_Britain/), between 139- 142 CE. It is composed of a cylindrical drum 10.2 m (33.4 ft) in diameter and 5.5 m (18 ft) high and stands almost intact.
