## Image Caption

The [Achilles](https://www.worldhistory.org/achilles/) Revealed [mosaic](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mosaic/) from Zeugma (southeastern [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/)) depicts Achilles (disguised as a girl) being discovered by [Odysseus](https://www.worldhistory.org/odysseus/) on Skyros island. The mosaic decorated the bottom of a pool with a waterspout in the impluvium of the House of [Poseidon](https://www.worldhistory.org/poseidon/) in Zeugma. Dated to the 2nd-3rd century CE. On display at the Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Gaziantep.
