The Supper at Beaucaire was a pamphlet written by [Napoleon Bonaparte](https://www.worldhistory.org/Napoleon_Bonaparte/) in 1793, defending the necessity of France's Jacobin government right before the [Reign of Terror](https://www.worldhistory.org/Reign_of_Terror/). The pamphlet earned him the attention of Jacobin leader Augustin Robespierre, who published the pamphlet at public expense.
