## Image Caption

The [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Poseidon](https://www.worldhistory.org/poseidon/), relatively well-preserved even today, was constructed in 450-440 BCE. According to modern scholars, it was designed by the same architect who designed the Theseion in [Athens](https://www.worldhistory.org/Athens/)' Ancient [Agora](https://www.worldhistory.org/agora/) and the Temple of Nemesis at Rhamnus.
