A 1900 oil on canvas, View of Cagnes, by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) the French impressionist painter. The artist made Cagnes in southern France his permanent home, largely in the hope that the warmer climate would be beneficial for his arthritis. (Saarland Museum, Saarbruecken, Germany)
