An 1880 oil on canvas, *Landscape at Chaponval*, by [Camille Pissarro](https://www.worldhistory.org/Camille_Pissarro/) (1830-1903), the Danish-French impressionist painter. A work that illustrates the love of blue, a colour Pissarro sometimes came in for criticism for overusing. The artist wrote on the reverse of this canvas "Please do not varnish this picture".
