An 1874 oil on canvas, *Portrait of Cézanne*, by [Camille Pissarro](https://www.worldhistory.org/Camille_Pissarro/) (1830-1903), the Danish-French impressionist painter. [Paul Cézanne](https://www.worldhistory.org/Paul_Cezanne/) (1839-1906) was a good friend of Pissarro, and the two often worked together. Pissarro had this painting hanging in his studio until his [death](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Death/). (National Gallery, London)
