*St Michael's Mount* is a tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall, [England](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/england/). The island is a civil parish and is linked to the shore by a causeway, passable between mid-tide and low water. The castle and chapel have been in ownership since 17th century. Since its unusual setting, the island become place of many legends and it maybe had been the site of a monastery even in 8th century.
