The [Tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) of Pennut is a tomb located at the site of New Amada, an archaeological complex containing three ancient Nubian monuments spared from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Pennut was the viceroy of [Kush](https://www.worldhistory.org/Kush/) under [Ramesses](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/ramesses/) VI (1143–1136 BCE), the last king of the [New Kingdom](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/New_Kingdom/) period. It consists of an antechamber and a niche with three destroyed statues. The chamber has scenes of Pennut offering to the gods and others depicting mourners at the Pennut.
