As a result of the construction of the Aswan High Dam in the 1960s, the ancient temple complex was dismantled and relocated, stone by stone, to a new site 210 metres further inland and 65 metres higher up by UNESCO and a multi-national team of archaeologists. ## Cite This Work ### APA Raddato, C.
