The Piazza d’Oro (Golden Hall) is a vast building with a quadriporticus garden and water basins located in the northern edge of [Hadrian](https://www.worldhistory.org/hadrian/)'s Villa in Tivoli ([Italy](https://www.worldhistory.org/italy/)). The southern side of Piazza d’Oro has a *cenatio* (dining-room) and perhaps also a library, suited for a cultured emperor such as Hadrian (r. 117-138 CE).
