A [Minoan](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Minoan/) vase carved from rock-crystal, from [Zakros](https://www.worldhistory.org/Zakros/) on [Crete](https://www.worldhistory.org/crete/), c. 1450 BCE. The collar includes gilded ivory discs and the handle is made from rock-crystal beads strung on [bronze](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/bronze/) wire.
