[Maya](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Maya/) vessel depicting several mythological scenes. This part of the vessel depicts a [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) with a [spotted tail](https://www.worldhistory.org/Spotted_Tail/) and ears. The dog is a companion of [death](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Death/), and like his own has a dark nature. Found in Guatemala, attributed to the "Metropolitan Master", 7th or 8th century.
