Wooden furniture (table, serving stand, stool) from the royal burials (tumuli) at [Gordium](https://www.worldhistory.org/Gordium/) (the capital of the ancient kingdom of [Phrygia](https://www.worldhistory.org/phrygia/) in modern-day [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/)). Phrygian period, end of 8th century BCE.

The Gordium wooden objects have been recognized as the most important collection of wooden finds recovered from the ancient [Near East](https://www.worldhistory.org/Near_East/). Several of the most elaborate pieces have been mounted for display in the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, Ankara, Turkey.
