A reconstructed Powhatan village at the Jamestowne Settlement Living History Museum, [Jamestown](https://www.worldhistory.org/Jamestown_Colony_of_Virginia/), Virginia, USA.

The reconstruction is based on accounts by English settlers of the 17th century CE who interacted with the Powhatans. The [Powhatan Confederacy](https://www.worldhistory.org/Powhatan_Confederacy/) controlled the region of modern-day Virginia from c. 1570-c. 1646 CE after which their land was appropriated by the English colonists of Virginia.
