## Image Caption

The archaeological site of Faqra in Lebanon, located in the Nahr El-Kalb valley region in the north of Beirut. Its most impressive ruins are of the monumental [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/)–sanctuary dedicated to a deity named [Zeus](https://www.worldhistory.org/zeus/) Beelgalasos, the local [Baal](https://www.worldhistory.org/baal/) of Faqra.
