It is made of [silver](https://www.worldhistory.org/Silver/) and decorated with [gold](https://www.worldhistory.org/gold/) and enamel. The hoard was found in the 1980 CE near Derrynaflan in County Tipperary, [Ireland](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Ireland/).
