A photorealistic representation of what the [Roman emperor](https://www.worldhistory.org/Roman_Emperor/) [Otho](https://www.worldhistory.org/Otho/) (r. 69 CE) may have looked like. Pictured alongside the reconstruction are the busts and artwork used as references. From left to right and top to bottom these are the Louvre bust; a painting by Peter [Paul](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Paul/) Rubens (1577–1640 CE); the British Museum bust; and the bust from the Uffizi Gallery. Based on contemporary and near contemporary descriptions, as well as archaeological evidence. Made using Photoshop and Artbreeder, a neural net tool.
