This panel shows the angels appearing before [Abraham](https://www.worldhistory.org/Abraham,_the_Patriarch/) and the sacrifice of Isaac. The artist [Michelangelo](https://www.worldhistory.org/Michelangelo/) gave the doors the nickname the 'Gates of Paradise' such was the craftsmanship evident in their production.
