At the top of the Lindos [Acropolis](https://www.worldhistory.org/Acropolis/), on the island of [Rhodes](https://www.worldhistory.org/Rhodes/), are the ruins of the 4th century BCE [temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/), dedicated to the goddess [Athena](https://www.worldhistory.org/athena/) Lindia, as well as the [propylaea](https://www.worldhistory.org/Propylaea/), monumental colonnade, entrance to the religious complex.
