A modern reconstruction of the [Temple](https://www.worldhistory.org/temple/) of [Artemis](https://www.worldhistory.org/artemis/) in [Ephesus](https://www.worldhistory.org/ephesos/). The temple took 120 years to build and was finally completed in 550 BCE. It was one of [the Seven Wonders](https://www.worldhistory.org/The_Seven_Wonders/) of the Ancient World, but was burned to the ground by a man named Herostratus in 356 BCE.
