## Image Caption

The Moorish Castle's Tower of Homage, built in the 8th Century CE. The "Moorish Castle" was built by the [Berber](https://www.worldhistory.org/Berbers/) Marinid Dynasty, and is a symbol of Muslim rule in Medieval Spain. The Tower of Homage is the tallest to be constructed during the period of Islamic rule in Spain. The Tower was nearly completely destroyed after the Spanish re-conquered Gibraltar from 1309 - 1333 CE, and was later rebuilt when Moorish forces returnedin the 14th Century CE.
