An effigy of Eleanor of Castile (1241 - 1290 CE), queen-consort of [Edward I of England](https://www.worldhistory.org/Edward_I_of_England/) (r. 1272 - 1307 CE). The effigy is from Eleanor of Castile's [tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) in the Lincoln Cathedral in [England](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/england/), which was a contemporary replica of the tomb where she was buried in Westminster Abbey.
