This illustrated manuscript depicts the Muslim army after their [conquest](https://www.worldhistory.org/warfare/) of Mecca, it also shows the destruction of the idols inside the Ka'aba. [Muhammad](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Muhammad/) himself is not depicted, as depicting a prophet is considered taboo in Islamic tradition. Made in Kashmir, [India](https://www.worldhistory.org/india/), in 1808 CE. The manuscript is part of the collection of the National Library of France (Bibliothèque nationale de France).
