## Image Caption

An aerial view of the [Tower of London](https://www.worldhistory.org/Tower_of_London/) castle, first built c. 1077-1110 CE by [William the Conqueror](https://www.worldhistory.org/William_the_Conqueror/). The castle was then extended and modified over the subsequent centuries.
