This Dish or drinking cup is part of the so-called "Hildesheim [Silver](https://www.worldhistory.org/Silver/) Treasure" and depicts a medallion of a seated figure of [Athena](https://www.worldhistory.org/athena/)/[Minerva](https://www.worldhistory.org/Minerva/) wearing a triple-crested helmet. The Hildesheim silver treasure, consisting of more than 70 pieces, is one of the most substantial and qualitatively valuable treasure troves of antiquity. It represents a luxurious dinner service consisting of magnificent vessels, dining, and drinking tableware. Most certainly, this table service was produced in [Italy](https://www.worldhistory.org/italy/). Silver, partly gilded, niello. Found in 1868 CE in Hildesheim, Germany. 1st century BCE to 1st century CE. It is on display at the Altes Museum in Berlin, Germany.
