The image of the [Egyptian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Egyptian/) queen Arsinoe (reigned 278-270 BCE) and wife of [Ptolemy II](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ptolemy_II_Philadelphus/) (c. 285-246 BCE) is similar to that of the goddess [Aphrodite](https://www.worldhistory.org/Aphrodite/). The form of the mouth, with a protruding upper lip indented in the middle, is an individual characteristic feature. Deified after her [death](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Death/), [Arsinoe II](https://www.worldhistory.org/Arsinoe_II_Philadelphus/) became a role model for her successors. Marble. [Ptolemaic Period](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ptolemaic_Dynasty/), c. 278-250 BCE. It is on display at the Altes Museum in Berlin, Germany.
