It is a fine specimen of the sculptural style that flourished in the period. It shows the [Hindu](https://www.worldhistory.org/hinduism/) [god](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/) [Vishnu](https://www.worldhistory.org/Vishnu/) in his dwarf (Vamana or Trivikrama) incarnation. To the left is a group of people surrounding and worshipping Vishnu in the form of a dwarf. To the right, the bigger figure is that of Vishnu in his original form with a crown, bearing weapons and with his leg raised, showing his lordship over creation.
