A 2005 CE photograph of the Yazidi [tomb](https://www.worldhistory.org/tomb/) and shrine of Sheikh 'Adi ibn Musafir (c. 1070 - 1162 CE) in the village of Lalish, Northern Iraq. Sheikh 'Adi is considered by Yazidis to be the founder of [Yazidism](https://www.worldhistory.org/Yazidism/) and a manifestation of [God](https://www.worldhistory.org/God/). The tomb's conical roofs are emblematic of Yazidi religious [architecture](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/architecture/).
