The "Mšecké Žehrovice Hero" (also known as the "Mšecké Žehrovice Head") is a late 2nd Century BCE or early 1st Century BCE limestone bust of a [Celtic warrior](https://www.worldhistory.org/Celtic_Warrior/). The male figure wears a [Celtic torc](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Celtic_Torc/) necklace, and has stylized facial features which include a curved moustache and brow. This stone head is one of the most reproduced and iconic examples of [ancient Celtic art](https://www.worldhistory.org/Ancient_Celtic_Art/). The bust was originally found in Mšecke Žehrovice, Czech Republic. [Celtic](https://www.worldhistory.org/celt/) [culture](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/culture/) is thought to have originated in western Central [Europe](https://www.worldhistory.org/europe/) around the 6th or 5th Century BCE, and had spread well into the region of modern-day Poland and the Czech Republic by the time this statue was made. The bust is on display in the National Museum of Prague, in the Czech Republic.
