The ruins of Sapinuwa, an important [Hittite](https://www.worldhistory.org/hittite/) military and religious centre (today Ortakoy in central [Turkey](https://www.worldhistory.org/Asia_Minor/)), are spread out over 9 km2 and include many building foundations. A monumental structure with Cyclopean-walls, the so-called “Building A”, was uncovered at the site. It was a three-story building used for administrative, religious and commercial purposes.
