This relief was part of [Sargon II](https://www.worldhistory.org/Sargon_II/)'s throne, from Throne Hall VII of the Royal [Palace](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/palace/) of [Sargon](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/sargon/) II at Khorsabad, in modern-day [Nineveh](https://www.worldhistory.org/nineveh/) Governorate, Iraq. Circa 710 BCE. The Assyrian king, Sargon II, stands in his royal [chariot](https://www.worldhistory.org/chariot/), below a parasol. He is accompanied by the charioteer and a guard. The chariot is driven by a pair of horses; a fallen, dying, and a naked enemy appears below the horses. At the middle, 5 Assyrian soldiers bring and pile a stack of enemies' beheaded heads. On the right, a group of Assyrian soldiers attacks a [city](https://www.worldhistory.org/city/)'s [wall](https://www.worldhistory.org/wall/) via a step ladder. At the right lower corner, 2 (probably impaled) naked enemies are depicted. On display at Room X of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad, Republic of Iraq.
